C-TAP (Current Technology Assurance Program) is a program that allows Telewire Inc. to offer you the ability to fix your telecommunications costs and stay current with the latest equipment. This allows you to be more productive and service your customers more efficiently.
- C-TAP is similar to a lease program but it enables you to refresh equipment after the second year. If you do not take advantage of the refresh option after year five, you can replace the equipment with a new phone system. This will allow you to take advantage of the latest applications and integration options, many times at no change in your monthly payment.
- C-TAP gives you a fixed cost for service, adds, moves, and changes for the duration of the program. No other vendor can tell you what you will spend over the next five years to service your telecommunications equipment; Telewire Inc. can.

This tool enables Telewire toimmediatelyassess the stability of a customer’s network and provide real-time recommendations to improve overall performance and security. Learn more
We were recently awarded a 4-site networking project for a local water conditioning firm. Our customer has a primary location in Salisbury, MD, a secondary site in Delaware, and has plans to open new offices in Forrest Hill, MD and in the Hanover, PA area. This customer had been happy with the Mitel 5000 communications server at the HQs location for a few years now, and they wanted to expand that solution into their branch offices. Mitel’s platform comes with IP-networking inherent to that solution, so our hope is that their high-speed Comcast service will be robust enough for voice transport between the sites. This will give them free, desk-to-desk intercom capabilities across their IP network.
It is important to design an VOIP application carefully, so we met with the customer’s IT vendor to go through some guidelines with them- what types of switches we prefer, where the firewall should be placed, and general network topography. Ironing out these details in advance will make sure that we optimize the quality of the VOIP calls, even if we are not able to control the conditions of the public Internet environment.
Once we have provisioned high-speed Comcast service at each location, our plan is to use the AppNeta network performance and diagnostics tool to look at the quality of the connection between the offices. That will be important in establishing expectations for voice quality. It will allow us to set a baseline for what the network conditions look like today. We realize that the network can change day-to-day, minute-to-minute, but with AppNeta we will be able to see trends, to get a broad picture.
The solution is designed so that each site will have its own pool of local lines, its own call processor, and its own voice mail, so that they will be reliant on the network only for transferred calls on inter-site intercom calls. Mitel is really the industry leader in multi-site IP networking, and we could not be happier that this customer selected Telewire for this project.
Recently our AppNeta network optimization tool saved one of our customers $700 a month!
AppNeta’s zero-administration, cloud-based service eliminates the time, cost and resources that network management has traditionally required. The PathView Cloud service delivers critical remote performance management enabled by the PathView microAppliance – and managed by you. The PathView microAppliances are ready to work in minutes with a simple “plug and play” deployment using an ethernet connection and power source.
Whatever your need, whatever your budget, Telewire can make what’s happening on your network crystal clear to you. Without network monitoring reports, all you can do is make assumptions about what is happening on the network. It is difficult to make sound business decisions and plan long-term IT strategies using assumptions. Let us help you take the guessing out of your network design decisions.
President, Bryan Murfree, has been invited by Technology Assurance Group (TAG), an international organization representing nearly $350 million in products and services in the industry, to share his vision on the future of unified communications with some of the industry’s top manufacturers, vendors, suppliers and resellers at TAG’s national convention. The 12th Annual TAG Convention will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 9th-12th.
With more and more businesses headed to the cloud, networking and IT infrastructure has grown substantially more complex in the past year. Today’s unified communications providers require unprecedented levels of technical expertise, industry foresight and customer service in order to remain competitive. Telewire, Inc. has been invited to attend this year’s convention due to its superiority in each of these areas.
